Announcement of EFAS Selected fellows for the Travelling Fellowship Programme 2023

Congratulations to our selected fellows for our EFAS Travelling Fellowship Programme 2023

EFAS Fellowship Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the EFAS Travelling Fellowship Programme 2023. This fellowship has been an excellent opportunity for several young doctors to follow a fully immersed training with the leading European Foot and Ankle surgeons for the period of three weeks, observing and learning first hand and to get direct contact with many renowned centers and experienced colleges. EFAS will cover travel expenses and housing.

6 applicants have won this EFAS Travelling Fellowship. The programme is divided in 2 different routes.

The fellows who will are selected for the Eastern Route are Dr. Amit Patel (UK), Dr. Ana Diezhandino (Spain) & Dr. Paul van der Voort (Netherlands)

They will visit:
- 20 & 21 November 2023 - GERMANY - Franckfurt area: Gelenkzentrum Rhein-Main - Supervisor: Dr. Kajetan KLOS
- 23 & 24 November 2023 - POLAND - Krakow: University Hospital of Krakow - Supervisor: Dr. Henryk LISZKA
- 27 & 28 November 2023 - DENMARK - Odense: Odense University Hospital - Supervisor: Dr. Johnny FROKJAER
- 30 November & 1st December 2023 - FINLAND - Turku: Pihlajalinna Turku Kupittaa - Supervisor: Dr. Helka KOIVU
- 4 & 5 December 2023 - SPAIN - Madrid: University Hospital 12th October - Supervisor: Dr. Jesus VILA Y RICO

The fellows who will be selected for the Western Route are Dr. Jasmin Diallo (Germany), Dr. Konrad Kwolek (Poland) & Dr. Karolien Schwagten.

They will visit:
- 20 & 21 November 2023 - PORTUGAL - Porto: Hospital Lusíadas Porto - Supervisor: Dr. Paulo AMADO
- 23 & 24 November 2023 - IRELAND - Dublin : Mater Misericordiae Hospital + Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry - Supervisor: Dr. Paul MORONEY
- 27 & 28 November 2023 - NETHERLANDS - Maastricht : Maastricht UMC+ - Supervisor: Dr. Joris HERMUS
- 30 November & 1st December 2023 - FRANCE - Marseille : Centre du Pied et de la Cheville - Supervisor: Dr. Barbara PICLET
- 4 & 5 December 2023 - SPAIN - Madrid: Hospital Universitario Quironsalud - Supervisor: Dr. Manuel MONTEAGUDO

All the fellows are invited to present a report during the EFAS Advanced Symposium held on the 7 and 8th of December 2023 in Madrid, Spain.
