Global Society Membership
National Societies Outside Europe can choose and will be encouraged to join the EFAS community.
Criteria for membership shall be determined by the council as advised by the Membership Committee. The basic criterion will be to satisfy the Council of Management that the applying Non-European Society fulfils the function of being a National Society of predominantly Orthopaedic Surgeons dedicated to the advancement of Foot & Ankle Surgery within their own country. Membership of a Non-European Society accepted for affiliation with EFAS will convey global membership of EFAS to all Individuals of the Affiliated National Society and entitle them to receive the journal of the Society. They can work in the Committees but cannot vote in the General Assembly and cannot be elected to join the Council.
Membership fee is decided by council and is available on request. Each member should pay to its national society and a single payment will be made to EFAS by the National society. A reduced membership fee is available for Trainees. Each National Society is responsible for the verification of its members and trainees.
