The media committee consists of 8 members with Joris Hermus as chairman.
EFAS, under the leadership of its Specimen Committee, organises specimen lab courses, instructional courses congresses, symposia and since last year webinars.
The Media committee is a diverse group of orthopedic surgeons, from young to more experienced, from university to private hospital. This diversity will help us to make links between the other committees. And most important building bridges between the EFAS member, national societies and EFAS as organization.
Therefore, the first task of our committee will be building a new website which can give access to surgical videos, own personal information (like UEMS points, course certificates, etc). But also giving more insight on the activities of other EFAS committees, like on research, fellowships and certification. And making direct links to our scientific journal. This task will be a real challenge for us, but with the help of you and the help of the EFAS committees we will bring this to a success. So please give us input.
The media committee has the opportunity that EFAS stays in contact with its members by organizing webinars and making new technologies (e.g. virtual reality, weight bearing CT and robotics) more real in our daily practice. By integrating social media and building a website which is easy to access.
